CLEMSON — The last two times the Clemson football team made a trip to the Georgia Dome, as most Tiger fans painfully recall, things didn’t go so well.
This time it’s the Clemson basketball team making the trip down I-85 for the ACC Tournament, so there won’t be any helmets and pads involved, but Tigers head coach Oliver Purnell said he’s still expecting a full-contact, hard-hitting contest when his team opens tourney play today at 2 p.m. against Georgia Tech.
